Sonic N – Boss Guide



This guide is a simple guide on how to defeat the majority of Bosses in the N-Gage Game, Sonic N; however the Level 5 and The Secret Level have not got boss descriptions. This is because Level 5 I can not remember what it is, and the secret level I’ve never played. However with this said I hope this guide helps you.



Level 1 - Egg man’s Tank Hammer:

Make sure you have at least 3 rings (just in case you get hit). Egg man drives slowly in a tank, with a hammer that swings from one side to the other, so as usual, make sure you don't hit the hammer. The easiest thing to do is to run in between the hammer and the tank (as there is enough space for your character to stand in between the two without getting hit) and then jump onto egg man (attack) and then land behind him (in the little gap between the hammer and the tank) or better still move so that you hit egg man a second time. After 7 hits he will start to go berserk (I normally just got don't care and do one final attack) you could do the same or wait till the hammer hits the floor then attack him. In total you have to attack him 8 times before it is destroyed.

Level 2 - Egg man’s Spring Machine:

A little tricky, but can be done, make sure you have at least 10 coins (just in case you get hit, as you might on this one). The easiest thing to do is attack him when right at the very start before he starts doing his giant leaps, as soon as he starts doing giant leaps start running from one side of the screen and as soon as you see him appear, stop, but make sure you’re not underneath him. Repeat this until egg mans spring machine is destroyed, but keep an eye on his movements as he sometimes changes his attack pattern.

Level 3 - Egg man's Spike Ball:

This is where 2 **bleep** (one egg man) the other a spike ball will appear from 2 of 8 different locations and after 4 hits will eventually speed up. its tricky to help you guys on this except to tell you to be sharp and keep your eyes peeled, but what I normally say to myself is:

"if you can't make the attack don't bother - as the spike ball will appear near you"

which in my case it usually does - but speed on this boss is crucial. So be careful.

Level 4 - Egg man’s Ice Driller:

This is a under water battle, so it makes it even harder as your movements are slower. Egg man uses his driller to drill into the ICE for the sharp icicles to fall onto your head.....however you must use these icicles to jump on so that you can attack egg man and get some air.

So you must wait till egg man starts drilling - when you see a chance (i.e. like a stairway of icicles) then jump up onto the icicle, then the next one and then egg man - but make sure to top up on air every so often (which the only way for this is to jump on an icicle and jump out of the water.

Level 5 - Robot Knuckles (Well its a Robot):

Robot Knuckles (or the Robot/Robot) is an echidna (I think if I remember correctly) and has all the strengths and speeds of knuckles.....firstly you must use your roll attack and jump attacks to damage him, after 4 attacks he will go berserk and he will start firing missiles at you and going really fast so best bet is to just dodge them and then where there is an opening attack, after 4 more attacks the robot blows up.

Level 6 - Robotnik's Spike Track Boss:



The Hardest Boss of the game, the "Spike Track Robotnik" boss has a rather interesting approach, he attacks you with using the spikes on the underside of the bot and quickly runs away from your harm. To damage him, you will need to bounce on the spuspensions and hit his cockpit part of the robot, after 8 hits (like all the other bosses in this game) he will be destoryed. This boss can be quite tricky, espically if you have picked a character like amy rose, however with a few goes you will soon have defeated him.

Final Level - X Zone:

The Final Level has a number of a boss from the Sonic Series.

Boss 1 - Swinging Ball (Sonic The Hedgehog - 1st Level Boss)

The Same boss from Sonic 1 on the megadrive/genesis, which was easy, so just jump onto the step-up that is opposite of where he is swinging the ball to and attack - after around 4 - 6 hits he is defeated.

Boss 2 - Drill Car (Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - 1st level boss)

the same boss from sonic 2 on the megadrive/genesis, which is even easier than all the rest, once he starts attacking just jump/attack the car and then off the car and land behind him, after a few hits he will fire the drill, just jump over this and attack the car.....job done.

Boss 3 - Final Showdown

Egg man is in a small spring machine (much like Boss 2), however it is a lazy, a exploding ball, hand and a spinning spike top (so you can't attack unless he attacks). So when you know he is about to attack, you must attack...after around 10 hits (and lots of stress - lol) you finally defeat him.

Secret Level:

If you find all 7 Chaos emeralds you will unlock the final level with Super Sonic, however I have not played this - as the maximum chaos emeralds I’ve found are 3, so your own your own on this one.
