I thought I'd post this little info about how I got my N-gage to access my internet through my Belkin F8T001 Bluetooth Dongle and my computer thats connected to the net...all without incurring any GPRS/WAP charges....

I assume you have your bluetooth driver installed first, then you installed PC Suite and you have the mrouter and connection manager running in the task bar...

1st Part
--------

Creating an access point on the Ngage

tools....settings...connection....access points....options...new access point>default settings...

Enter the following...

Connection Name : Anything (But remeber this name cuz ull enter it in various programs that require the net) THIS IS YOUR ACCESS POINT NAME

Data Bearer: GPRS

Access Point Name: The name you gave your bluetooth conected computer...

Username : None

Password : No

Authentication : Normal

Gateway IP Address : 0.0.0.0

leave the advance settings alone....

and this should create your access point name....

also can you check these settings on your Ngage.....

tools.....settings....connection...select GPRS

GPRS Connection...set to 'When Available'

Access Point ... <Computer Name> here enter the name of your computer as reported by the Belkin Software....

2nd Part

right click the belkin bluetooth icon in the systray...advance
configuration.....local services.....select Network Services and click
properties....then in the drop down box....make sure you have
"Allow other devices to access the Internet/Lan via this computer"
selected....

and i clicked Configure Internet Connection Sharing button at the bottom too
but it did nothing...but i suspect it changed some registry
entries....doesnt hurt to press it once at least....

go back and connect again....btw when i connect the serial port....the
bluetooth icon (black ball on the ngage gets 2 brackets around it while its
connected to the net...as well as the letter G in the top right hand
corner...

I DONT have ICS installed too btw....you dont need it...

3rd Part

This applies to the Belkin Bluetooth Software but could be similar for other bluetooth USB devices....

the magic sequence is to make sure the belkin software connects to
the serial port with the ngage and let mrouter change its icon to a connection status (2 coloured triangles or a computer and phone)...that will enable internet....(mrouter acts as a gateway to the hybrid bluetooth network)

right click the bluetooth icon in the systray....

quick connect....bluetooth serial port....other devices.....

now if you've paired them correctly the name of your ngage will come up...
select it

and let it connect

it might come up with an error....ignore it and press ok.... mine says it
connects to COM0 ...

if you have PC Suite installed look at the mrouter icon.... 2 grey triangles change colour when it connects....or changes to another graphic of a computer or phone....success!

so far so good...

4th and last part.....

The browser that comes with the ngage is crap and wont work through the above setting...neither will RealOne Player when trying to stream....but im working on these 2 now as we speak....

Grab Netfront Browser....and install it on your Ngage.....

When you enter the web the first time...it asks which access point to use....use the one you created above...under connection name...it should be in the list....

and get PVPlayer and use that instead of RealOne Player that came with Ngage....

oh and if you get this far, you can access your pop3 email through this connection as well..

and post your high scores and download ghosts of Flo Boarding at NokiaGame still I've improved on the rankings...

Ето как успях да подкарам интернета от РС-то на N-Gage-а. Само да поясня, че става дума за Bluetooth устройства, работещи със софтуер на Blue Soleil. Ако има хора с Widkomm кажете, ще поясня къде са разликите.


Първо създавате си нов access point на N-gage-а

tools > settings > connection > access points > options > new access point>default settings

Въвеждате следното:

Connection Name : Bt

Data Bearer: GPRS

Access Point Name: тук въвеждате Bluetooth името на компютъра ви

Username : None

Password : No

Authentication : Normal

Gateway IP Address : 0.0.0.0

Пропускате advance settings

Сега към компютъра. Целта е да се направи активна връзка с Nokia PC Suite, така че ако имате такава, можете да го пропуснете.

Влизате в Blue Soleil-a. От меню My services > Properties > Serial port A и от там виждате кой ком порт пише.
От същото меню > Personal area networking > Access LAN Network и избирате LAN адаптера си.

Инсталирате си PC Suite-a.
Долу в дясно до часовника трябва да има иконка, която представлява два сиви триъгълника. Десен бутон > Properties и от там слагате отметка на порта, който сте видяли в предишната стъпка и махате отметките ако има на другите портове.

Влизате пак в Blue Soleil-а и щракате по иконката на телефона, за да се оцветят в жълто иконките отгоре. Щракате два пъти по иконката Bluetooth serial service. Телефона трябва да получи някакво съобшение, на което отговаряте с Yes. Иконката на Blue Soleil-а трябва да стане зелена, а от картинката в центъра трябва да излиза лъч към телефона. Понякога не става от първия път, затова опитайте докато стане. Ако всичко е наред онази иконка с двата триъгълника трябва да се променя от време на време от телефонче и компютърче на синьо и зелено триъгълниче. Това значи, че сте се кънектнали.

Сваляте си някакъв интернет browser за телефона, или Opera, или Netfront.
Аз лично имам само този Access point и не ме кара да избирам кой да използва.
Предполагам, че ако имате друг, ще ви пита, затова избирайте само Bt.
